Retro Version 1 – RSI + Market Making + Grid Trading

DennTech Retro Version 1 is the entry-level build of the Retro trading bot series. It combines three time-tested strategies in a single lightweight Windows executable: RSI-based signal trading, Market Making, and Grid Trading. This build is ideal for traders who want a reliable, low-complexity automated setup that runs continuously with minimal daily intervention.

Included Strategies

RSI (Relative Strength Index)

The RSI strategy monitors momentum by measuring the speed and magnitude of recent price changes. The bot enters a buy position when the RSI drops below the oversold threshold and exits when it climbs back into neutral or overbought territory. The RSI period, overbought level, and oversold level are all configurable from the control panel. This approach performs well in ranging markets where assets oscillate between predictable price levels.

Market Making

The Market Making strategy places simultaneous buy and sell limit orders around the current market price, capturing the bid-ask spread as other traders fill both sides. This strategy performs best on high-liquidity pairs with consistent daily trading volume. Capital cycles efficiently through both sides of the book, keeping utilisation high.

Grid Trading

Grid Trading places a series of buy and sell orders at fixed price intervals above and below a configured midpoint. As the market moves up and down, orders are filled automatically and replaced at the next grid level. The strategy profits from volatility in any direction without needing to predict which way the market will move. It is particularly effective in sideways or mildly trending markets.

Supported Exchanges

Kraken, Binance.US, and Gemini — all three are fully supported and switchable from the main interface without restarting the bot.

Who This Is For

Version 1 is the right starting point if you are new to automated crypto trading, want to test DennTech on a small account first, or prefer a focused three-strategy setup without the added complexity of a full nine-strategy build.

Who Should Choose Retro Build 1?

This build suits traders who want a market-making engine that earns the bid/ask spread while RSI guards against buying into overbought conditions. The Grid layer subdivides your capital into evenly spaced buy/sell orders so the bot keeps trading through sideways price action — periods where most trend-following bots sit idle.

Typical Market Conditions Where This Build Excels

  • Ranging / sideways markets: Grid fills both sides; Market Making collects spread continuously.
  • High-volume consolidation: RSI identifies short-term exhaustion levels so the bot avoids chasing breakouts on low probability setups.
  • Low-volatility crypto pairs: Grid spacing can be tightened on stable pairs like BTC/USD or ETH/USD for frequent, smaller gains.

Frequently Asked Questions
